Similar to Chinese medicine theory that improper energy flow through the body causes energy imbalances, functional medicine or electrodiagnostic practitioners use a computerized system that processes and records electrical conductance measurements to determine any existing imbalances. The computer reads sensitive energy points in the skin which correlate to that of acupuncture meridians.
Once all the data and measurements have been taken and recorded, the results are entered into a large database in the computer which then determines if certain body systems or organs are out of balance.
Used by some physicians, dentists, naturopaths and chiropractors the device will then help to select the needed treatment to restore balance to the body.
This type of testing is said to identify environmental allergies to heavy metals such as mercury, aluminum, and other types of allergies to yeast, fungus, and molds as well as vitamin or mineral imbalance."
