brain gym Brain Gym is a series of physical exercises designed to stimulate and assist brain function. Developed by Dr. Paul Dennison in 1969, Brain Gym arose from a combination of the science of Kinesiology, the study of the association between body movement and the brain, with educational and child psychology. Specific coordinated movements of the body are believed to be particularly beneficial to development of neural pathways in the brains of children. Brain Gym is a program of exercises which puts these movements together in a way that will help stimulate and develop these pathways in older children and adults. It has both physical and mental benefits, and has been shown to be helpful for treatment of learning disorders, improvement of memory and concentration, and physical coordination. articles
