Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is a malignancy of the breast that is common in women and rare in men. The information on breast cancer collected from research and information shows that most breast cancer is not hereditary, although a small percentage of women have a genetic weakness that dramatically increases their risk.

The information on breast cancer gathered to date shows that the incidence of postmenopausal breast cancer varies dramatically around the world, and those who move from one country to another will, over time, begin to take on the risk of the new society.

This evidence and information on breast cancer strongly suggests that most, though not all, breast cancer is preventable. That's why it's important to be aware of all of the available breast cancer treatments. However, the factors responsible for differences between high-risk and low-risk populations are still controversial.

Based on information on breast cancer a few factors that affect the risk of breast cancer are widely accepted:

  • The later the age of the first menstrual cycle, the lower the risk.
  • Full-term pregnancy at an early age (teens to early twenties) lowers the risk.
  • Being overweight increases the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer.
  • Use of hormone replacement therapy increases the risk, but this increase in risk has been reported to disappear shortly after hormone use is discontinued.
  • Being older at the time of the last menstrual cycle (early fifties or older) confers a higher risk compared with women who have had their last menstrual cycle at a younger age (late forties or earlier).

Complementary & Alternative Treatment Options For Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer is a disease that haunts mostly women and plays with the minds of those who have already experienced the difficult breast cancer treatment options. Some people are willing to die rather than to go through another round of conventional medical treatments. It is estimated that 50% of all cancer patients turn to complementary or alternative treatments at some point in their illness in search for less invasive, less toxic breast cancer treatments.

Know Your Risks!

It is important to consider all your options and risks when exploring complementary & alternative breast cancer treatment options and we suggest you not abandon conventional medical treatments for unproven alternative methods. EnerChi Health strongly recommends you thoroughly research the alternative therapies available and all of the costs involved.

Your Best Chance....

It is our belief that your best chance at remission or a cure for breast cancer is a combination of conventional medicine with the best of complementary medicine to help manage the side effects of the treatments. There are many complementary health practices that are helping individuals cope with and manage the side effects caused by conventional medicinal treatments.
