When we think of getting old we tend to image ourselves with multiple health problems; depressed, incontinent, forgetful, senile and on a program of multiple medications.

What we don’t realize is that there are many seniors who maintain active social and independent lives. Being born with good genes plays an important role in how we age but not always.

Research on aging has shown that there are older people who remain mentally and physically active and productive well into their nineties.
