find
a practitioner
With the growing interest
in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), there seems to be more
and more complementary and alternative practitioners than ever before.
The search to find a reliable, trustworthy practitioner can be time consuming
and there are no easy solutions. The reality is, you have to do some research
and determine the qualifications and regulations of the practitioner and
therapy you are interested in pursuing. Keep in mind, you may have to
see a few different practitioners or experiment with a few different practices
before you stumble upon one that works for you.
Below are some
strategies that you might find helpful:
- Contact the Professional
Association of the Therapy you
are interested in finding a practitioner in, as many of the associations
maintain databases of practitioners.
- Contact the appropriate
Training
Centre to research the educational background and qualifications
required to become a practitioner in that specific field of CAM
- Click on our Links
to find Businesses or Organizations that may have practitioner databases.
- Check your Yellow
Pages.
- Ask your family
and friends for recommendations.
